Blue Split Neck Cowl from Before the Dawn

Black mill dyed Peru silk warp with hand dyed variegated brilliant blue superwash wool/tussah silk weft.

This is amazing in-hand. It’s a medium silk warp paired with a thin wool/silk weft, so not a bulky piece. There is low-to-no prickle from the wool. This is roughly a .75m diameter and .79m tall cowl with a small, rolled hem on the top, a split 31cm from the short, loose fringe, which was handsewn while on the loom. There are rainbow hand dyed inlays throughout the piece.
